Senior Consultant Vancouver, BC

Habañero Consulting Group is looking for a Senior Consultant to lead the delivery of business-focused technology projects and custom application development projects. The ideal candidate has a proven record in business development and in leading and delivering technology projects in Calgary. We're looking for someone who aspires to earn a trusted advisor relationship with clients, and who has a history of consulting engagements. This role will involve significant time on-site, doing face-to-face problem solving with clients.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with existing clients and identify and lead business development initiatives
• Cultivate relationships across the industry and promote Habañero’s brand
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams that include customer stakeholders, project managers, business analysts, developers, testers, and systems personnel
• Provide input on internal corporate vision and strategy
• Share knowledge and provide assistance across projects as needed
• Continuously improve internal processes

Required Skills and Experience

• Four-year degree or equivalent
• Minimum 6 years of enterprise-level technology implementation experience
• Minimum 5 years in management/IT consulting
• Minimum 3 years of leading high-performing project teams
• Knowledge of business domains that will apply well in a consulting environment
• Demonstrated history of delivering completed projects
• Demonstrated history of technology-related business development
• Demonstrated history of thought leadership in area of expertise, including practice leadership and development
• Very strong English language skills (oral and written)

Nice-to-have Skills and Experience

• Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: custom application development, user experience, collaboration, and enterprise content management
• Deep vertical industry knowledge in one or more of the following areas: oil & gas, financial services, municipalities
• Knowledge of ERP systems and enterprise integration
• Experience leading projects based on Microsoft enterprise platforms, tools, and technologies
