Website and Web Application Designer — Vancouver & Calgary Vancouver, BC

We're looking to further expand its User Experience team with a talented Website and Web Application Designer. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, and have a strong customer service ethic. A user-centric design philosophy is also required, including an understanding of what that means in practical terms.

Responsibilities

Working closely with a Senior Designer, you will help design intuitive and engaging websites, portals, and web applications.

Required Skills and Experience

• Two years working on a variety of projects including web, intranet, and application design
• Working knowledge of the Adobe suite of design tools (Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
• An appreciation of the holistic nature of the user experience
• An understanding of how to develop web products across multiple browsers and operating systems
• A general understanding of content management systems and the relevant design challenges if working in a template-driven environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Completion of a relevant university/college program
